Quality Improvement is a Never-Ending Process

While a formal quality management program involves special training, we can all run our own personal quality and continuous improvement program any time. Here are five suggestions:

• Make a commitment to defect-free work.
• Know how the quality of your work is measured.
• Decide what stands in the way of your doing the level of work you want to do.
• Take action. Decide what you will do differently and start doing it.
• Be a quality champion.

Remind your employees that there's no such thing as "good enough" when it comes to quality. We must always strive to do better — success depends upon it.
